President Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) Makhdoom Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat has left for Zurich, Switzerland on 11th October, 2011 to attend seminar on “FIFA Transfer Matching System (TMS)” being held on 12 October and FIFA Disciplinary Committee meeting being held on 13th of October, 2011 at Home of Football, Zurich.
According to the press release issued here by PFF, the main focus of the seminar on “FIFA Transfer Matching System (TMS)” will be to acquaint all members of FIFA disciplinary committee about the legal aspects of “FIFA Transfer Matching System (TMS)” introduced by FIFA in 2008.
Makhdoom Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat will also have an opportunity to meet all the top officials of FIFA including the FIFA President Jospeh S. Blatter, where in he will discuss ways and means of promoting football in Pakistan.
It is pertinent to mention here that the FIFA Transfer Matching System (TMS) is an online system that makes international transfers of football players between clubs quicker, smoother and more transparent. Introduced in February of 2008 with a test phase, the system is now used for all international football transfers in all 208 FIFA member associations and by over 4600 clubs worldwide.
The transfer details required in TMS include identification information on the player to be transferred, club details, all payments (including the amount, timing and bank details). All the details provided must also be backed up by evidence such as uploaded copies of the player’s identification documents, his new employment contract and the transfer contract between his former and future clubs. The system also helps to reduce instances of underage players being transferred internationally. The protection of minors is a priority for FIFA and will be a focus of future compliance activities.
